** Set of 4 wheels + 8 bearings **
40% discount on SP ABEC 7 bearings, combined with the Halo wheels
The Halo wheel is the latest innovation in lightweight, high performance wheels for roller derby. Striving for the precision and feel of an aluminium core/hub wheel, without the weight or heavy pricepoint, Radar came up with the Halo wheels. The H-shaped core makes it possible to have less urethane on the edges of the wheel to give you precision, and to have more uretheane in the middle of the wheel to give you grip. The holy balance has been found. Enjoy. To order a full set of wheels (8), be sure to set your quantity to two (2 x 4).

What makes the Radar Halo so unique?
Generally, wheels have a standard or smaller core with a thick layer of urethane (tyre) to generate good grip on different types of surfaces, but you'll miss the finesse of your edges to perform well timed hockey stops or plows.
Or the core is oversized with a thinner layer of urethane around it to get a stiffer feel, enhancing your edge work, including precise stops, but limiting your amount of grip and durability.
Radar came up with an H-shaped hub, combining the best of both worlds. The inner and outer edge of the wheel have less urethane where the core is oversized, to enhance reponse and fine edge work. This means, amongst other things, acing your stops and having a perfect feel when using your edges. The middle of the core has a deeper cutout so that more urethane could be poured in, to create more grip, to increase control on different types of surfaces and to overall improve your ride. The Halo is also shockingly light.
Radar Halo wheels come in different hardnesses so you can find the set that matches exactly with your style and skate surface. If you're into that, you can easily mix and match different Halo wheel sets to perfect your setup.
Our recommendation: You might want to go down one hardness option as the Radar Halo wheels feel somewhat harder than their durometer (hardness number). If a 95A is your standard go to option, you might want to consider taking a 93A.
